American Airlines will launch seven new international routes for 2027, offering daily service on several of them, with bookings available beginning August 31.
Passengers traveling through Philadelphia (PHL) will be able to connect to three new destinations next summer: Porto, Portugal (OPO), Reykjavik, Iceland (KEF), and Vienna (VIE).
American Airlines will be the only U.S. air carrier to fly to Vienna, offering an extended season through early January 2028.
Additionally, the airline is expanding with new routes to Europe, with two new routes from New York’s JFK to Amsterdam (AMS) and Nice, France (NCE). Travelers will also be able to fly from Charlotte, North Carolina (CLT) to Barcelona (BCN), as well as from CLT to Paris (CDG).
Beginning March 19, travelers from Chicago (ORD) can fly to Tokyo (NRT). Service between Miami (MIA) and Milan (MXP) also launches next March.
American Airlines will also expand its flights between JFK and London Heathrow with a fourth daily flight.
“Coming off a summer of celebration, American is growing to offer new destinations and routes, bolstering our premium global route offerings,” said American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning Brian Znotins. “Our international network has expanded to offer destinations to satisfy every travel palate. Combined with our investments enhancing our onboard product and inflight experience, travelers have more reasons to choose American when they fly around the world.”
