Columbian
airline Avianca has announced the expansion of its United States network with new
and increased frequencies to Fort Lauderdale and Miami.
The airline, part of Abra Group, is adding a second daily
Bogotá–Fort Lauderdale flight and increasing Barranquilla–Miami service to
daily operations, with both routes starting June 1, 2026.
Sales opened on May 8
for the new frequencies on routes to the U.S.
The expansion supports Avianca’s broader U.S. network, where
it currently operates more than 400 weekly flights across 14 Latin American
cities and over 80 destinations in the Americas, including Boston, Dallas-Fort
Worth, Houston, New York, Las Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas
(seasonal), and Europe.
Bogotá – Fort Lauderdale
An additional daily frequency will
be added, for a total of two flights per day.
AV 66 departs 2:40 p.m., arrives 7:30 p.m.
Fort Lauderdale – Bogotá
AV 67 departs 10:45 a.m., arrives 1:25 p.m.
Barranquilla – Miami
Service will increase from three
weekly frequencies to daily service (one flight per day).
AV 2, departs 7:50 a.m., arrives 11:45 a.m.
Miami – Barranquilla
AV 3, departs 1:30 p.m., arrives 3:15 p.m.
