Avianca is upping the ante on its US flight frequencies this summer, adding 42 additional weekly flights compared with July 2025 to meet burgeoning demand for connectivity “between the U.S. and Colombia, Ecuador and Central America, with a focus on the upcoming soccer competition,” the carrier said.
“This summer, Avianca is taking the US network to the next level by adding more flights on high-demand routes, giving travelers unprecedented flexibility and access to Latin America,” said Rolando Damas, Avianca’s director of sales for North America.
New routes, including Miami–Guayaquil, Ecuador, with seven weekly flights, and San Francisco–Guatemala, with four weekly flights, “will strengthen the network ahead of the upcoming soccer competition,” Avianca said.
The carrier will resume seasonal routes with more frequent flights, including Miami–Cali, Colombia; New York–Pereira, Colombia; Orlando–Colombia; Las Vegas–San Salvador, El Salvador; and Chicago–San Salvador.
Just some examples of increases in flight frequencies include routes such as Bogota-Orlando, with 14 weekly flights available in July 2025 to 21 in July 2026, Miami-San Salvador, up from seven flights in July 2025 to 11 in July 2026, and Cali-New York, up from three in July 2025 to seven in July 2026.
“Our goal is to make nonstop travel seamless and convenient, connecting passengers to the region’s most vibrant destinations with the reliability and service they expect from Avianca,” Damas said.
