Nascent low-cost carrier Breeze Airways is bolstering its domestic service to in-demand Florida destinations with an enhanced network expansion that’s set to occur over the next two months.
Earlier this summer, Breeze announced it would add new routes for flying into and out of the Sunshine State in the autumn. Now, the number of fresh options it initially announced has expanded to a total of 19 new routes coming to Florida.
This latest expansion increases the airline’s presence in Florida to 58 nonstop routes flying to and from seven cities: Fort Myers, Jacksonville, Orlando, Sarasota/Bradenton, Tampa, Vero Beach and West Palm Beach.
- On November 15, the budget airline will launch brand-new seasonal service between Fort Myers and Portland, Maine, which will operate twice weekly during winter and spring, with flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- And, on November 28, Breeze will start flying between the vacation mecca of Orlando and Plattsburgh, New York, which is located just south of the Canadian border, approximately 60 miles from away Montreal. Running three times weekly throughout the winter and spring and winter, this service will be offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
“Plattsburgh becomes our fourth airport in New York State, but the first with a large international appeal,” Tom Doxey, Breeze Airways’ president, told Travel + Leisure. He added, “With our expansion in Florida, Breeze now offers the most Florida destinations from six cities in our network.”
Right now, the carrier is celebrating its brand-new seasonal service that’s set to commence by running a limited-time sale on airfare with nonstop one-way flights starting at just $59. To take advantage of the promotion, customers must book their flights by 11:59 p.m. ET on September 18. Travel dates eligible for this deal run from November 15, 2023, through April 30, 2024. The discounted rates are applicable under certain terms and conditions, and available only on select routes, fare types and days of the week.
Created by JetBlue founder David Neeleman in 2021, Breeze’s low-cost model operates with three available fare types: “Nice”, “Nicer” and “Nicest”. The highest-level option includes the airline’s newest product, Breeze Ascent, into which is packaged a set of extras, such as checked luggage fees, in-seat power and charging outlets, and complimentary in-flight snacks and beverages, including alcohol.
