Delta Air Lines is making a big splash in the massive state of Texas, announcing a first-of-its-kind nonstop connection between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG).
The new daily summer-season service starts March 27, 2027.
Passengers will fly Delta's Airbus A330-900neo aircraft equipped with Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort and Delta Main seating.
In addition to another nonstop option to Paris from the Lone Star State, the new route opens up nearly 70 destinations across Europe, India and Africa through Delta's joint venture partnership with Air France-KLM.
"Austin's growth continues to create new opportunities for customers, and Delta is proud to grow alongside it," Delta's Executive Vice President - Chief Commercial Officer, Joe Esposito, said in a statement.
"Launching Austin's first nonstop service to Paris is a defining milestone, but it's just one part of our broader investment in the region," he added. "From expanded domestic flying to strong international connectivity through our partnership with Air France-KLM, we're making it easier than ever for customers to connect from Central Texas to destinations around the world."
The new route news comes just days after Cayman Airways revealed plans to expand flight options from Austin amid booming demand.
