Delta One flights are getting a little more luxurious this year, with amenities in the business class cabin getting a designer upgrade.
Delta Air Lines has announced a newly expanded partnership with Italian fashion brand Missoni that will see sophisticated new bedding, amenity kits, and slippers added to the premium seats. All of the chic Missoni-branded products will feature the design house’s iconic zigzag prints.
“We want you to savor your time in the air, which is why we are intentional about each detail of the customer experience to create a sense of home in every space, which is instantly elevated with Missoni’s iconic, signature designs,” said Mauricio Parise, Delta’s VP of brand experience. “Our new Missoni collection will help you arrive at your destination feeling refreshed and ready for the journey ahead.”
Delta One fliers will be able to cozy up with Missoni’s new bedding set that features a white duvet with subtle white zigzags, as well as a white sleeping pillow. As part of the refresh, Delta is expanding its mattress pad amenity to all Delta One flights and adding a new “memory foam cuddle pillow” on the cabin’s long-haul routes. The new bedding sets will launch on international Delta One routes this summer and eventually roll out across all Delta One flights by the end of 2025.
The stylish new bedding upgrades were made based on customer feedback gathered by Delta, as well as in-flight tests conducted by the airline to gain a deeper understanding of the onboard sleep experience. “We know nothing compares to sleeping in the comfort of your own bed,” said Parise. “However, when we set out to re-think the in-flight sleep experience, we focused on offering customers the same luxurious sleep experience you might get in a high-end hotel.”
Starting in the fall, passengers will also receive new Missoni amenity kits, which come in blue and cream colorways to evoke the sky and are adorned with the zigzag motif as well as gold hardware. Inside the collectible kits, fliers will find custom Missoni socks and a Missoni eye mask, in colors that match the exterior of each bag.
“In crafting the next generation of our amenity kit we embraced our signature artistry, blending patterns, textures and hues to create a kit that’s distinct, enduring, and designed to suit your lifestyle beyond your time on the plane,” said Alberto Caliri, Missoni’s creative director.
The kit will also offer some familiar conveniences, like Grown Alchemist skincare products, a bamboo toothbrush, toothpaste, and earplugs. Later in 2025, the airline will roll out upgraded Missoni-branded navy slippers, too, ensuring Delta One fliers are swathed in comfort and elegance from head to toe.
