But it is worn as something of a badge of honor.
Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is now the world’s busiest airport. At least in terms of departures, anyway. And it is the second busiest in the world in terms of arrivals. That is according to the vice president of network planning at American Airlines.

DFW is the headquarters of American Airlines and its largest hub. When the carrier solidified its June schedule, it became the world’s largest departure airport.
Whether it is replaced by Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport or Dubai International Airport is the question. Both Atlanta and Dubai have long been among the world’s busiest airports. And this might be splitting hairs.
