JetBlue Airways has partnered with The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Fraport USA to help renovate John F. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 5, with over 40 new concessions, new amenities, art installations and a redesign inspired by the city’s parks.

The terminal will open new dining areas and shopping experiences this year, with the last portion of the renovation set for completion by the end of 2026. The renovation is part of the Port Authority’s $19 billion renovation of JFK.

Travelers will be transported to New York’s famous parks, with real plants and trees, park benches and chess tables when they enter the heart of Terminal 5. The terminal will also feature an art collection with over 30 works by local artists throughout.

New concessions will include New York staples like Jacob’s Pickles, Tiki Chick, Serafina, Benetari’s, Gotham Burger and Birch Coffee.

Additionally, the terminal will feature local and small businesses that are new to airport concessions through the federal airport concessions disadvantaged business enterprise (ACDBE). These include Neir’s Tavern from Queens, Brooklyn Tea Seller, Sugar Hill Creamery from Manhattan, Ranchito Salvadoreno from Queens and more.

“When it opened, Terminal 5 set a new standard for customer-focused airport design that reflected our mission of bringing humanity back to air travel,” said Marty St. George, president of JetBlue. “Now, in support of the Port Authority’s plan to redevelop JFK, we look forward to further enhancing the experience for all who travel through this world-class terminal. This isn’t just about new dining and shopping—it’s about bringing the energy of New York into the terminal. From local flavors to spaces that capture the city we love, we’re making T5 more uniquely New York while staying unmistakably JetBlue.”

Terminal 5 opened in 2008 and was expanded in 2014. It served 165 JetBlue flights each day. Over 35,000 travelers pass through the terminal to connect to flights daily.
