JetBlue announced expanded service to several destinations, including new routes from San Juan, Puerto Rico, launching this fall.
New routes include nonstop service between Puerto Rico’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) and Providence (PVD), Westchester County (HPN), Santiago in the Dominican Republic (STI), Medellín in Colombia (MDE) and Cancún in Mexico (CUN). These routes begin October 27-29, respectively.
"We are pleased to welcome JetBlue’s expansion, with the addition of new routes to and from the Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport and six popular travel destinations within the U.S. East Coast and Latin America,” said Puerto Rico Governor Pedro R. Pierlusi. “This announcement highlights the airline's commitment to our market and directly validates and supports our administration's vision and plans to continue enhancing the growth of our tourism industry in Puerto Rico.”
Additionally, JetBlue will offer new service to three destinations in the Caribbean. A new route will connect San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU) to St. Croix (STX) in the U.S. Virgin Islands beginning December 12; and two new routes from New York’s JFK will connect to St. Vincent (SVD) and Bonaire (BON), with launch dates to be announced later.
Jetblue’s premium Mint service is also being expanded this winter to Phoenix (PHX). Every JetBlue flight to the destination will offer Mint service. It’s also reintroducing service between Phoenix and Fort Lauderdale, and doubling service between Phoenix and New York and Boston. In Canada, Mint service will be added to flights between New York and Vancouver.
