In another story about strange things found by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a man was caught carrying the remains of a dead cougar in his bag.
The man had the big cat carcass in his luggage and was stopped by airport security on Tuesday, according to a report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal. TSA stopped him at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas around 10 p.m. when they discovered the dead animal.
It is legal to possess and ship home the remains of legally caught game but, in order to avoid any snags when luggage passes through a security screening, it's a good idea to let the airline know. Airlines have the right to refuse transport of certain items.
"It is not a crime to transport game that is legal to possess via airlines," Gordon said. "However, airlines reserve the right to tell passengers they do not want to transport certain items," Metropolitan Police lieutenant David Gordon told the Review-Journal.
The validity of the cougar's tag was verified with Utah State Fish and Game, and the man was not charged with a crime. The cougar was eventually shipped home rather than transported by the airline.
This isn't the first time that TSA has stopped someone trying to transport wildlife through security. You may remember the lady who tried to bring a 20-pound lobster onboard.
Cougars also don't top the list of strange things that people have tried to get past security-like the woman who wore gun-shaped stiletto heels for example or the people who wore underwear full of meth or even the ones with the gold in their butts.
