Singapore Airlines is attempting to change how you feel when you consider flying upgraded economy on a long haul flight.
The carrier's new premium economy seating will not only offer passengers better comfort by freeing up space for additional legroom and reclining, but also provide them with a handful of key choices and privileges they previously wouldn't have thought possible.
But it all starts with the seat itself. Stretching 19.5 inches wide, travelers won't be crammed into their seats for the duration of your flight. The specs include 38-inch seat pitch, eight-inch recline and a 13.3-inch high-definition monitor for entertainment.
Passengers will also benefit from having storage and power at their seat, making it easier to get work done or relax.
Complimentary champagne and noise-cancelling headphones highlight the added luxury.
Plus, priority check-in, baggage handling and boarding make getting on the plane that much easier.
And once in the sky, passengers will enjoy a variety of different food. Customers can pre-order their meal from the brand's exclusive "Book the Cook" menu, or simply choose from three different main course items.
It remains to be seen whether Singapore Airlines' refreshing approach to premium economy will catch on, but it'll certainly capture the imaginations of weary long haul travelers.
