For already the third time in succession, Condor has been chosen as the airline with the most satisfied customers in Germany and can claim the title of "Germany's most popular airline" for itself. In the survey, the tradition-steeped leisure airline came out on top against eight other competitors, including Lufthansa, Eurowings and Ryanair. Following 2012 and 2015, the survey was carried out for the third time by the German Institute for Service Quality (DISQ) on behalf of the German news channel n-tv.
"We are very honored to receive this award for the third time against such strong competition," said Ralf Teckentrup, CEO of Condor. "The verdict of our customers is immensely important for us because our daily work is always focused on them. It is our wish that for Condor guests, their holidays starts as soon as they get on board the aircraft. We're glad that this is acknowledged and our customers are satisfied with our service, reliability and quality at such great prices. Similarly, I would like to thank all our employees who have made such a major contribution to this success."
For the issue of the award, a total of 1,039 people who had undertaken at least one flight in the last twelve months were surveyed online in January and February 2017. The participants in the survey expressed themselves on reliability and safety, value for money, service, flight availability, complaints and were also asked if they would recommend the airline to their friends. From all the answers, the DISQ derived the customer satisfaction with each airline. Condor claimed first place with a total of 73.4 points.
The award for Germany's most popular airline is just one among a number of awards that Condor has already received in 2017. These include the Best Employer by the magazine FOCUS; and Germany's Customer Champions, awarded by the F.A.Z. Institute.
