Denver Among the World's Best Regional Airports
Airlines & Airports Alex Temblador March 28, 2019

The Skytrax World Airport Awards for Best Regional Airports of 2019 was released and Denver International Airport took the award for the Best Regional Airport in North America.
The World Airport Awards began in 1999 and rely entirely on the votes of Skytrax customers.
Across the world, Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya, Japan, took home first place, while Cologne Bonn Airport came in second with London City Airport in third. Denver International Airport came in seventh on the world stage and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport was ranked ninth.
While Denver may have come in first place in the North American category, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International came in second, followed by Seattle-Tacoma, then Minneapolis-St. Paul and Phoenix.
No one state or region seemed to dominate among the North American Regional Airports as airports in the top ten ranged from Houston Hobby in sixth place to tenth place, San Diego and eighth place, Detroit Metropolitan.
