Just because you're stuck at the airport this Thanksgiving doesn't mean you have to go hungry or miss out on the most anticipated meal of the year.

Whether you're in the midst of a long layover, your flight's delayed or you simply can't wait to reach your destination to dig into grandma's cooking, you're certain to give thanks for these exceptional airport restaurant offerings.

Holiday travelers flying into or out of busy Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport can take their pick from a special Thanksgiving menu at the Atlanta ChopHouse in the airport's atrium. Choices include deep-fried Cajun turkey breast or a bone-in pork chop. Plus, each dish is served with a dinner roll and choice of two sides, which include potato gratin, sweet potato casserole, old-fashioned stuffing and apple fennel slaw.

Staying in the Southeast, North Carolina's Charlotte Douglas International Airport boasts mouthwatering offerings at both 1897 Market and Brookwood Farms BBQ. The former is offering a special Thanksgiving market hot brown meal of smoked Joyce Farms Heritage Black Turkey, pan-fried pumpernickel, roasted carrots, cranberry jam and pickled ramp relish.

Elsewhere in the airport's atrium, Brookwood Farms BBQ will reward holiday travelers with a Southern Classic Thanksgiving meal comprising maple bourbon smoked turkey, crispy brussels sprouts, honey glazed baby carrots, country sausage dressing, spiced cranberry relish and cheddar cornbread.

Travelers flying into or out of the Midwest via Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport will want to make plans to stop by Ike's in Terminal 1. The restaurant's beloved Thanksgiving Dinner stars sage roasted turkey served with sage stuffing, Yukon gold mash potatoes with gravy and a slice of pumpkin pie.

While not quite the same as Thanksgiving Dinner, travelers passing through Los Angeles International Airport will have several options to satisfy their Turkey Day cravings, including "The Pilgrim." Located inside the Tom Bradley International Terminal, The Larder at Tavern's appropriately named sandwich combines roasted turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce.

Meanwhile, the nearby 8oz Burger Bar is serving up the "Big Bird," which features Shelton Farms ground turkey, avocado, roasted tomato, Swiss cheese and sprouts.

Finally, passengers wandering LAX's Terminal 4 can chow down on the festive "PAVO" from Food & Bounty. The fulfilling meal includes roasted turkey, avocado, arugula, balsamic and olive oil.

Being stranded never tasted so good.
