Well, it's not the Millennium Falcon, but it still looks awfully cool.
The hype and the marketing for the seventh Star Wars movie, set for release in December, has begun. A second trailer released this week with a very brief appearance by Harrison Ford as Han Solo uttering the phrase, "Chewie, we're home" has Star Wars geeks all abuzz.
Now comes this.
Japan's All Nippon Airways (ANA) announced Thursday it will introduce Star Wars livery, with the iconic R2-D2, on its newest aircraft 787-9 Dreamliner to mark the beginning of a five-year ANA/Star Wars Project and agreement with The Walt Disney Company. This marks the first time a Star Wars character will appear on the exterior of a commercial aircraft.
The R2-D2 design was unveiled to Star Wars fans Thurday at Star Wars Celebration at Disneyland in California.
Its first flight will come in August.
