In the summer of 2028, Virgin Voyages is debuting Scandinavian and Baltics cruises, the line’s first-ever season to sail in this much-desired location. The cruises will be on Valiant Lady, sailing out of a homeport of Amsterdam. The season will run from July 9 to September 4, 2028, with a total of six journeys. Here are highlights of what to expect.

The Scandinavia & Stockholm Overnight sailing, a 12-night adventure from July 19-31, 2028, will visit five countries and six ports. Highlights will be Copenhagen’s Tivoli Gardens, medieval adventures in Gdańsk, a golden-hour sail-in to Stockholm, Berlin (via direct train from Warnemünde), and Aarhus, Denmark’s design-forward city.
Norwegian Fjords will be a seven-night sailing from July 31 to August 7, 2028, with a focus on fjords, not big cities. Stops include Molde, set beneath more than 200 named mountain peaks and home of and a legendary summer jazz festival. Valiant Lady will also visit Nordfjordeid, Bergen and Flåm, home to one of the world’s steepest standard-gauge railways a fjord approach that’s truly picture postcard.

Scandinavia & Hamburg will be seven nights of dynamic cities from August 7-14, 2028. Guests will enjoy a full day at the Munch Museum in Oslo, an evening in Copenhagen, and a late stay in Hamburg, allowing for enjoyment of the Elbphilharmonie, the Speicherstadt warehouse district, and a great nightlife scene.
Arctic Circle & Norwegian Fjords will be 11 nights of drama from August 14-25, 2028. After visiting Bergen, Valiant Lady heads north across the Arctic Circle itself, and guests can enjoy a midnight sun deck party. There will also be stops in Tromsø, Honningsvåg, Trondheim, Åndalsnes, and Olden.
There will also be two Western Europe Crossings, which will be 10 nights each way, between Barcelona and Amsterdam. Sailings will be the same route but from opposite directions. Barcelona to Amsterdam departs July 9, 2028, and stops in incredible ports that include Casablanca, Lisbon, La Coruña, and then Cherbourg, an easy day trip from Mont Saint-Michel. For the reverse sailing, Amsterdam to Barcelona, departure is August 25, and this cruise swaps Casablanca for a closing port in Tangier.
