Condor Airlines offers affordable flights to Europe from 18 different U.S. gateways, including.

Fly with Condor from Seattle, Baltimore-Washington, Las Vegas, Portland, Minneapolis, Anchorage, Austin, New Orleans, Pittsburgh, Fairbanks and Phoenix.

Sister airline, Thomas Cook Airlines, connects travelers to Europe via Manchester, England, from Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Las Vegas, Orlando, Boston and San Francisco.

Using Frankfurt as a hub, the airline connects U.S. travelers with more than 120 destinations around Europe.

Phoenix most recently welcomed Condor Airlines, giving the Arizona city direct access to Germany.

"It's meaningful for Phoenix to have a nonstop route to mainland Europe, which is a sign of the strength of our market and economy, and will help boost the tourism industry for both Arizona and our German friends," Stanton added.

Flights are very affordable. Travelers in Austin, Texas, can travel to Berlin, Germany, via Frankfurt, for around $650 roundtrip.

Travelers can also fly from Las Vegas to Sofia, Bulgaria, from Anchorage, Alaska, to Moscow, from Minneapolis to Zurich, Switzerland, from Portland, Oregon, to Kiev, Ukraine, and more.

Travelers can even earn miles with Alaska Airlines. Mileage is accrued at 100 percent for Economy Flex passengers. Base Economy earns at 75 percent and Economy Promotion receives 50 percent. Upper classes earn higher mileage thresholds. Business Class receives 100 percent base miles, a 100 percent cabin bonus and an additional 100 percent bonus. Premium passengers receive 100 percent base miles with a 25 percent cabin bonus.

Onboard, guests will find three classes of service: business, premium and economy. Onboard, passengers receive complimentary checked baggage, beverages, meals and in-flight entertainment.

Business class gives travelers a high-end experience with lie-flat seats, touch-screen entertainment, USB power ports, five-course meals, complimentary beer, wine and cocktails, priority check-in and lounge access where available.

Premium seats give travelers more legroom than regular economy and passengers have power ports, adjustable headrests and premium entertainment options. Premium meal service and complimentary beverages are also included.

Economy class is an a la carte service where guests pay for what they need. Standard meals, a snack service and non-alcoholic beverages are included, but guests can upgrade to a premium meal if they choose. Premium meal options also include special variations for children, vegetarians, vegan, lactose- or gluten-free meals.
