So if this doesn't make your eyes a little misty, we're not sure what will
KLM has come up with yet another unique campaign that has gone viral, this time allowing family, friends and loved ones the chance to say that 'extra goodbye' to those boarding a KLM flight.
The airline teamed with Schiphol Airport in its Amsterdam, Netherlands hub to create "Cover Greetings," an effort that allows people to leave a personal message on the headrest of the seat occupied by a friend or family member onboard a KLM flight. Schiphol and KLM together ensured that the personal message would be placed on the right seat on the aircraft.
This made for an unexpected and touching moment for the passengers who boarded the plane as they saw a headrest cover made especially for them.
How did it happen?
The airline and the airport just looked for love in all the right places. Working together to spot loved ones saying goodbye, the ticket holder went to the gate while KLM and Schiphol Airport workers intercepted the families or friends and took them to an area where they could write out their personalized notes.
Workers then rushed the personalized headrests to the proper seats before boarding began.
Talk about touching moments. Here's how it all went down.
