On Wednesday, the Avis Budget Group announced that it would be expanding the company's loyalty program for travel professionals, Unlimited Rewards.
As part of the expansion of the loyalty program, travel agents will be eligible to earn valuable rewards on Avis business and leisure car rental transactions in Europe. Before Wednesday's expansion of Unlimited Rewards, travel agents only earned rewards for Avis car rental transactions in North America, Latin America, the Caribbean, Australia and New Zealand.
Unlimited Rewards members can now earn dollar rewards for rentals in Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and the United Kingdom.
"Europe is a popular destination among travelers who seek services from travel professionals," Avis Budget Group senior vice president Stephen Wright said in a statement. "We're excited to expand Unlimited Rewards and provide agents with a way to earn more when they book their clients with Avis."
In addition to earning rewards for bookings in Europe and beyond, Unlimited Rewards members also earn rewards for completed bookings through the Carey International portfolio of transportation service and Hilton hotel brands and properties.
Travel agents receive their dollar rewards on a monthly basis, which are loaded onto an Unlimited Rewards prepaid debit card. To enroll in the free Unlimited Rewards program, travel agents must be residents of the United States or Canada and be 18 years of age or older.
