Avoya Travel Network is unquestionably a host agency to watch in the coming years, as it raises the bar on its travel advisor and agency offerings and programs under new leadership.
On the heels of its highly successful Annual Conference, the company hosted a press conference during which Avoya executives discussed the future of the company, which was fully acquired by Certares, an equity investment firm, in June.
“I will say this isn’t a next chapter for Avoya – it’s a new era,” said Sam McCauley, Avoya’s senior vice president of market expansion.
Just some of the initiatives underway company include a “substantial increase in platform investments in technology and marketing; new AI-powered enhancements across both traveler experiences and travel advisor workflows; an expansion of the Avoya product portfolio, including air, ancillary and more; and new strategic partnerships within and outside of travel,” Avoya said.
“We’re building on a foundation that’s 60-plus years old,” said Avoya Chief Executive Officer Marc Kazlauskas. “When you look at the proven sales and profits that we’ve made over those 60-plus years, that makes us very unique.”
The numbers speak for themselves.
Avoya said it witnessed a “20 percent month-to-date in total transactional value,” bolstered by an increase of 92% river cruise sales, 69% in escorted tour sales and a 110% increase in air sales.
In other developments, Avoya is taking its technology initiatives to a new level.
“It’s what’s made Avoya a leader in the first place, and we’re doubling down and building smarter systems,” he added.
Avoya unveiled a robust array of technology advancement at its Annual Conference, including, but not limited to, Tern, an “itinerary and workflow tool created specifically for advisors and agencies;” the next generation of Agent Power, featuring “smarter dashboards and vendor integrations streamline workflows;” enhanced search capabilities with new visuals and filters that “highlight top-value sailing faster;” new automation systems “to keep earning potential at the forefront of the travel advisor,” and more, the host agency said.
Meanwhile, Avoya’s Annual Conference, which was held aboard MSC Cruises World of America from Oct. 11-18, drew a record number of attendees – including more than 600 travel advisors and 50 suppliers – and featured six general sessions and a robust range of learning experiences.
During the conference, Avoya attendees raised upward of $24,000 for the MSC Foundation, which is one of the charitable organization’s largest-ever donations.
“The 2025 Avoya Travel Conference marked a defining moment for our company,” said Marc Kazlauskas, Chief Executive Officer of Avoya Travel.
“It was a week that reflected the best of Avoya – our community, our innovation, and our commitment to driving unprecedented levels of advisor success in the years ahead,” he added.
