Rocky Mountaineer is starting off the New Year with a bang.
The rail company has launched new soft adventure itineraries and will start up a refreshed training program this spring, meaning there are a lot of exciting ways in which travel agents can work with the company.
New Adventures
Rocky Mountaineer's newest journeys capitalize on the growing desire among travelers to "do" rather than just to see.
The company's new Journey Through the Clouds Outdoor Adventure is the ideal way for clients to challenge themselves with guided cycling, hiking and a river float in Banff. The 10-night itinerary travels from Calgary to Banff and offers a number of exciting elements.
Guests have the chance to partake in a gondola ride, panoramic helicopter flightseeing, rafting on the Bow River, a Yoho Park tour, canoeing on Lake Louise, guided hiking, or a Zodiac tour on Howe Sound, as well as a two-day train journey with GoldLeaf or SilverLeaf service onboard the train.
Rocky Mountaineer's second new itinerary focuses on cuisine.
The First Passage to the West Culinary Exploration is a foodie-focused holiday in Vancouver, Lake Louise, Banff and Calgary. The 10-day journey includes a culinary walking tour on Granville Island in Vancouver, an Icefields Parkway tour, a Yoho Park tour, a six-course wine-paired tasting menu at Eden Restaurant at the Rimrock Hotel, helicopter flightseeing, a Banff gondola ride and more.
Two days are also spent onboard the Rocky Mountaineer train in GoldLeaf or SilverLeaf service.
New Online Training Program
Rocky Mountaineer is giving its training program a refresh as well. The company is currently working on making TRACKS bigger and better for travel agents.
"A Learning Journey also offers a unique opportunity to connect and build relationships with both the valuable suppliers and partners who add to our packages and the Rocky Mountaineer sales team members in each region," Glasgow added.
In order to be a part of the 2019 Learning Journeys program, travel agents should reach out to their local Rocky Mountaineer representative for details. Rocky Mountaineer also offers travel agents the opportunity to experience the product independently with discounts for both agents and a companion.
