HX Expeditions has always believed that guests should connect meaningfully with the people, as well as the traditions and landscape that encompass the lives of Greenlanders. The world’s largest island is a focus for the company through 2027, and there are some exciting new options for travelers.
Cuisine takes center stage on a couple of the trip options. Culinary Discovery: The Taste of Greenland debuted in 2025 and was developed to celebrate the flavors of the Arctic through local ingredients and authentic culinary storytelling rooted in place and tradition.
In 2026, there are nine sailings focused on this topic. And a new program this year is a ‘Tide to Table’ experience, where guests will join local fishermen in the fjords, catching cod using traditional Inuit methods. They’ll also venture to Ilulissat for a traditional kaffemik, a social gathering in a local home that is centered around coffee, cake, and community.

• New boat cruises to the Ikka Fjords, where guests will experience the rare and otherworldly Ikka columns. These unique mineral formations that rise from the seabed are set within the dramatic beauty of the fjord landscape, something unique to Greenland.

Sea Kayaking, which was introduced in 2025, has been further developed for this year, so guests will have additional opportunities to glide through the pristine fjords and enjoy an immersive perspective, getting closer than ever to the spectacular Arctic environment.
