American Cruise Lines' 2018 Alaska cruise season will begin June 9 with a 15-day Inside Passage cruise. The special itinerary includes a rare overnight in Glacier Bay. It's offered only twice in the season, on June 9, 2018 (from Seattle to Juneau) and September 8, 2018, from Juneau to Seattle.
Sailings are aboard the American Constellation. The ship, which debuted in 2017, is the only fully stabilized small ship in Alaska this season.
The June 9 Alaska Inside Passage Cruise will sail from Seattle up the Pacific coast. It will cruise through British Columbia along the Inside Passage between Washington and Alaska.
The 170-passenger American Constellation can access smaller ports inaccessible to larger ocean vessels. In the Inside Passage, that means a more intimate encounter with the glaciers, fjords and wildlife the area is famous for.
The overnight in Glacier Bay is another highlight of the Alaska Inside Passage itinerary. The world's largest biosphere, Glacier Bay is home to snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and a temperate rainforest. Few visitors to Alaska have the opportunity to spend an entire night there.
American Cruise Lines' Alaska itineraries feature onboard historians and experts, nightly entertainment, all-inclusive fine dining, and complimentary cocktails every evening. Pre-cruise packages are available for both sailings including hotel, city tour and transportation to the ship.
The American Constellation is the largest and most modern in the 11-ship American Cruise Lines fleet. Staterooms and suites range in size from 226-450 square feet. They feature full-size bathrooms, complimentary Wi-Fi, satellite TV and DVD players, plus twice-daily stateroom service. The ship also features several lounges, observation decks, private balconies, laundry facilities, a putting green and elevator access to all decks.
Based in Guilford, CT, American Cruise Lines offers some 35 itineraries visiting 25 states.
