Guests sailing Disney Cruise Line's Disney Fantasy can look forward to a series of enhanced entertainment offerings in 2019.
A reimagined version of "Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular" debuted on Thursday and "Frozen, A Musical Spectacular" is scheduled to make its Walt Disney Theatre premiere this coming fall.
What's more, Disney announced plans for Mickey and Minnie's Surprise Party at Sea to celebrate 90 years of Mickey. The afternoon deck party will take place on all Caribbean and Bahamian sailings from the start of June through the end of August.
Coinciding with the release of the new live-action movie, the revamped Aladdin musical features an updated script, enriched storylines, brand-new choreography and score additions as well as reimagined costumes, lighting, video/projection design and pyrotechnics.
Meanwhile, the Broadway-style Frozen musical-which premiered on the Disney Wonder back in 2016-is based on the hit film and will debut aboard the Disney Fantasy on October 26, 2019, the Disney Parks Blog stated.
This summer's deck parties in honor of Mickey will be highlighted by special costumes and songs as well as Mickey Mouse-themed food.
Thursday's news comes one week after Disney Cruise Line and the Canaveral Port Authority agreed to a new 20-year deal that will make Port Canaveral the home port for two of the cruise line's three new ships.
