Lindblad Expeditions & National Geographic Society To Send 35 Educators on Expeditions

Lindblad Expeditions and the National Geographic Society announced the 2024 Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship cohort on April 17, releasing the names of 35 dedicated educators from across the nation who will be sent on expeditions around the world to bring their experiences back to their classrooms. 

The Fellows will sail onboard Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic’s expedition ships to destinations like Antarctica, Patagonia, Alaska, the Arctic and the Galápagos. By participating in field-based experiences and immersing themselves in these places, they’ll become better equipped to educate their students. 

The 2024 Fellows consist of educators from 20 U.S. states and two Canadian provinces, and includes a teacher of the Deaf, along with educators from across the pre-K-12 spectrum of grade levels and subject areas. 

The Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship has offered 400 teachers the experience of a lifetime since 2006. The fellowship is named after Gilbert M. Grosvenor, chairman emeritus of the National Geographic Society, for his decades-long work supporting education across the United States and Canada. Submissions for the 2025 Fellowship are open now.
