Princess Cruises and Fathom Travel are teaming up to offer passengers the chance to experience more of the Caribbean in 2018.
Following the successful inaugural voyage aboard the Crown Princess in January, Carnival Corporation officials announced six additional Travel Deep sailings have been added to seven-day Princess Caribbean cruises.
Passengers looking to make an impact on Caribbean islands in need will be able to provide assistance and support to local communities in a variety of ways, including donation drops and on-shore opportunities.
"These additional Travel Deep group sailings allow us to offer our Princess Cruises guests more opportunities to make an impact within the communities in need while adding meaning and a deeper connection during their travels," Fathom president Tara Russell said in a statement. "These purpose-driven groups allow travelers to get closer to the places we visit with a chance to come alongside local communities and have more authentic, immersive experiences with locals."
January's inaugural eight-day Crown Princess sailing featured passengers handing out nearly $14,000 worth of baby items in St. Thomas, cleaning up the beaches of Guana Bay in St. Maarten and helping in the construction of two homes for families impacted by hurricanes at Amber Cove in the Dominican Republic.
Additional Travel Deep sailings for 2018 include:
-Regal Princess, departing March 18, 2018 (previously announced): Fort Lauderdale, Princess Cays, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Fort Lauderdale.
-Caribbean Princess, departing May 26, 2018 (previously announced): Fort Lauderdale, Princess Cays, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Fort Lauderdale.
-Caribbean Princess, departing June 30, 2018: Fort Lauderdale, Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize City, Cozumel, Fort Lauderdale.
-Caribbean Princess, departing July 28, 2018: Fort Lauderdale, Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize City, Cozumel, Fort Lauderdale.
-Caribbean Princess, departing August 18, 2018: Fort Lauderdale, Princess Cays, St. Maarten, St. Thomas, Fort Lauderdale.
-Royal Princess, departing November 17, 2018: Fort Lauderdale, Princess Cays, San Juan, Amber Cove, Grand Turk, Fort Lauderdale.
