In support of its Sail & Sustain environmental stewardship program, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) forged an alliance with the Maui-based Pacific Whale Foundation’s Keiki Whale Watch program.
The partnership will “expand the Keiki Whale Watch program, significantly increasing access to hands-on ocean education for Maui students in grades two through eight,” NCLH said, adding that it may more than double the number of participating students in 2026.
Keiki Whale Watch serves as the Pacific Whale Foundation centerpiece program, coupling classroom sessions with whale-watching experiences led by marine experts.
As part of the alliance, NCLH will support the Pacific Whale Foundation’s World Whale Day Parade on Feb. 15 in Maui.
“At Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, we believe that ocean stewardship begins with education and meaningful connection,” said NCLH Senior Director of Sustainability Heike Naigur.
“Supporting Keiki Whale Watch and Maui’s whale parade is a natural extension of our Sail & Sustain strategy, investing in communities, protecting the ocean, and inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards,” Naigur added.
NCLH is the parent company of Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
