Norwegian Cruise Line’s Hawaii-based Pride of America is going into a shipyard for some previously unscheduled work, shortening the March 3 and March 10 cruises by a day each.
In a statement, NCL did not outline the exact itinerary changes or maintenance issue but said passengers would be accommodated before or after those cruises in Honolulu hotels.
“Due to regulatory compliance requirements, Pride of America must undergo an unscheduled technical dry dock enhancement and the ship’s March 3 and March 10 itineraries are being modified as a result,” the statement said.
“The necessary maintenance that will be conducted during this dry dock will in no way impact the safe operation of the vessel during the scheduled cruises. Norwegian Cruise Line will be providing accommodations for all guests at local Honolulu hotels for one evening and will be provided with transportation to and/or from the pier.”
The company also said passengers on both sailings have been offered a future cruise credit or a refund for one day cruise fare.
