Princess Cruises is returning to the Amazon River for the first time since 2014 as part of its 2028-2029 Americas season, which features more than 250 departures across North, Central and South America, the Caribbean, the Pacific and Antarctica.
The program includes a new 64-day “Circle South America” voyage combining the Amazon River, Antarctica and the Panama Canal, along with cruises to Hawaii, Mexico, Canada and New England and the Caribbean. Voyages range from four-day coastal getaways to extended explorations of South America.
The Amazon River itineraries will include scenic cruising and a port call in Santarém, Brazil. The season also introduces Îles de la Madeleine in the Gulf of St. Lawrence as a new Canada and New England destination, while roundtrip Hawaii cruises from Vancouver return for the 2028-2029 season.
The 2028-2029 Americas season is now on sale. Through February 16, 2027, the cruise line is offering an early booking promotion that includes up to $300 in instant savings, up to $300 in onboard credit, $100 deposits and select additional benefits.
“There is an incredible diversity found across the Americas, and our 2028-2029 season gives guests an extraordinary range of ways to experience it,” says Jim Berra, chief commercial officer of Princess Cruises.
The South America and Antarctica program features 13 departures across 11 itineraries, visiting 38 destinations in 16 countries aboard Majestic Princess and Coral Princess. In addition to the new 64-day circumnavigation, options include 17-day Antarctica and Patagonia voyages and 15-day cruises exploring Cape Horn and the glaciers of Patagonia.
The Panama Canal program includes 12 departures across nine itineraries, ranging from 16 to 20 days. Five ships—Coral Princess, Crown Princess, Island Princess, Ruby Princess and Star Princess—will operate voyages connecting the Atlantic and Pacific, including full transits through the canal's historic locks and newer Neopanamax locks.
Elsewhere, Princess Cruises will offer 141 Caribbean departures across 49 itineraries, with sailings ranging from five to 17 days. Guests can depart from Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral, San Juan, New York and Barbados, visiting 24 destinations across 20 islands. Select itineraries include stops at private destinations such as Celebration Key in the Bahamas, Isla Tropicale in Honduras and RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas.
The season also includes 35 Mexico departures from Los Angeles and San Francisco, 18 California Coast cruises and 14 Hawaii sailings. In Canada and New England, 17 departures aboard Regal Princess and Caribbean Princess will feature five itineraries ranging from seven to 14 days, including an overnight stay in Quebec on select voyages.
Princess is also expanding opportunities for longer stays in port through its More Ashore program, with late-night and overnight calls in destinations including Honolulu, Cabo San Lucas, Aruba, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro and Lima.
"Whether it's a relaxing Caribbean getaway, sailing beneath the Golden Gate Bridge, experiencing the marvel of the Panama Canal, discovering the beauty of Hawaii or venturing to the Amazon and Antarctica, these thoughtfully crafted itineraries make it easy to find a vacation that matches how and where our guests want to explore,” says Berra.
