The travel industry is ready to honor and recognize Veterans Day.
Particularly, Sea Cloud Cruises is with their new offer. After all, the military ties are there.
Sea Cloud is celebrating Veterans Day by offering Military Savings for veterans and active-duty personnel. Now through November 30, those who have served in the armed forces will receive 20 percent off any sailing plus a $500 onboard credit on Sea Cloud Spirit, Sea Cloud II and the original Sea Cloud.Sea Cloud Cruises has a strong connection to the U.S. armed forces as the original Sea Cloud herself served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.“Guests onboard the original Sea Cloud will see a small plaque that is affixed to the face side of the wheelhouse: each of the five brass angles indicates six months of active war service for the United States” said Sea Cloud Cruises President North America Mirell Reyes. “We are proud of this connection and honored to recognize those men and women who have served with special savings and recognition.” After the United States entered World War II in 1941, the Navy began to acquire private yachts to reinforce the fleet; and Sea Cloud owner Marjorie Merriweather Post and Joe Davies committed the vessel to the Coast Guard for the symbolic charter of one dollar. All Sea Cloud Cruises voyages include open bar, select shore excursions, all meals with exclusive wine and beer selections, water sports, port charges, gratuities and welcome bottle of champagne upon embarkation. The cruise line just announced it was adding four new trips to Venice in 2025.
