A Mississippi woman took to Twitter Saturday in hopes of finding her "best friend," who she met on a Hawaiian dinner cruise back in 2006 but presumably hadn't seen or heard from since.
"Hey Twitter, I met this girl on a dinner cruise in Hawaii in 2006. We were basically best friends for that night so I need y'all to help me find my best friend cause I miss her and I need to see how she's doing now," wrote Bri, who goes by the Twitter handle @briannacry. "Please retweet this so we can be reunited."
The post began to gain momentum and, amazingly, the girl in the photo responded within a matter of hours. She even held a photo of her younger self for proof.
Bri quickly responded with joy as the Internet followed along with the online reunion and praised Twitter for making it happen.
Many users posted emotional comments while some patted themselves on the back for retweeting Bri's original plea.
We can only hope this happy ending features another memorable dinner cruise in Hawaii.
