The Caymans Islands is a collection of upscale Caribbean islands known for their luxury lodging options, jaw-dropping beaches and culinary experiences.

And while a trip there may cost more than a vacation in a similar Caribbean destination like Jamaica or the Dominican Republic, many travelers splurge due to the safety, amazing beauty and dramatic sunsets the Cayman Islands have to offer.

What should you actually do once you get to this stunning tropical destination? You might as well make the most of your time. Here are six activities you should absolutely seek out while visiting this gorgeous part of the world:

Visit Stingray City

If the Cayman Islands are known for any one excursion, it's their Stingray City trips that typically depart from Grand Cayman. It will take you to an offshore sandbar where you'll be surrounded by stingrays and other wildlife.

However, you won't stay on the boat. Instead, you'll get in the water to pet and even "kiss" these gentle creatures for the camera.

Go Straight to Hell

Hell, Grand Cayman is little more than a gift shop, a road and a frightful-looking selection of Hell-like rocks. Here, you can buy a T-shirt that says you've been to hell, take some pictures and, well, you should definitely go.

Relax on Seven Mile Beach

Seven Mile Beach is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. You can enjoy amazing sunsets, snorkel in crystal clear water and relax on the powdery white sand.

Book a hotel on Seven Mile Beach if you can for an extended enjoyment of this paradise but, at the very least, you should visit for a day.

Snorkel at Smith's Cove

Smith's Cove is a gorgeous ocean inlet known for its amazingly blue waters, gorgeous rock formations and snorkeling. It costs nothing to get into this beach, and its location down the street from Seven Mile Beach makes it easy to get to.

Bring a picnic, a cooler full of beer and some snorkel gear, then you can enjoy the beauty of Grand Cayman minus the tourists. You can also watch the sunset go down over the rocks and snorkel with huge tropical fish in between dives off the rocks into the waters below.
