Secrets St. Lucia had plenty to celebrate when
I visited in September of 2026. The adults-only all-inclusive resort was
marking its first anniversary with Carnival of the Senses, a lively evening
celebrating Saint Lucian food, music, dance and fashion. More than 300 guests
gathered for the event, which was held alongside the Saint Lucia Tourism
Authority’s 2026 Saint Lucia Showcase International.
But while the anniversary party was certainly
a highlight, I was more interested in what Secrets St. Lucia was like the other
days of my stay. After several days of eating my way through the restaurants,
swimming in the calm Caribbean Sea, and relaxing at the resort, I came away
with a pretty good sense of where this newer property shines—and where it
doesn't quite deliver the same wow factor as some other Secrets resorts.
The Food Was a Pleasant Surprise
The food at Secrets St. Lucia was genuinely
good, and I had plenty of great options as a pescatarian. Veggie and seafood
lovers have endless options here, which was especially nice since I have dealt
with limited food options at some other resorts.
Secrets St. Lucia also did an excellent job
accommodating my dairy allergy. Staff were attentive when I had questions about
ingredients and helped me find meals I could safely enjoy. That made a big
difference since navigating food allergies at an all-inclusive can sometimes be
stressful.
Plenty of Places to Eat
One of the things I liked most about Secrets
St. Lucia was the sheer variety of dining options. There was a buffet,
beachfront dining, hibachi, seafood restaurants and Italian food, so I never
felt like I was eating the same type of meal over and over.
The resort also has a crepe restaurant called
Le Petit that stood out from the usual all-inclusive lineup. This unique eatery
offered breakfast options in the morning and tapas later in the day, giving
guests another casual spot to grab something between meals.
And then there's the coffee shop, which became
another worthwhile stop. It serves coffee alongside pastries, sandwiches and
other grab-and-go options. Having a dedicated spot like this is a small thing,
but I appreciated being able to grab a good coffee and a bite without sitting
down for a full meal.

The Beach Isn't Huge, But It's
Beautiful
The beach at Secrets St. Lucia isn't huge, but
honestly, I didn't care. The water was the star. It was crystal clear, calm and
incredibly inviting. I swam laps and floated in the water every day during my
stay, and it was one of the things I enjoyed most about the resort. If you like
calm Caribbean water where you can actually get in and swim rather than admire
the view from a beach chair, this is a major plus.
The combination of clear water and gentle
waves made the beach feel like a giant natural swimming pool, and I found
myself returning again and again.
As a bonus, the sun set directly over the
water during my stay. I absolutely love a good Caribbean sunset!
Rooms are Spacious, Clean and
Comfortable
My room was spacious, spotless and came with
swim-out access, which quickly became one of my favorite features. The pool was
also the perfect temperature, making it easy to take a dip whenever I wanted.
That said, I wouldn't book Secrets St. Lucia
expecting the ultra-chic, luxurious rooms you might find at other properties in
the brand, such as Secrets Moxché. The design here is more beach chic than
high-end glam. It's comfortable and pleasant rather than jaw-dropping, which
may be perfectly fine if you're planning to spend more time outside your room
anyway.
Staff Helps Resort Stand Out
Some destinations and resorts do hospitality
better than others, and Secrets St. Lucia was one of those places. The staff
was consistently friendly, welcoming and genuinely helpful throughout my stay.
Whether I was grabbing a drink, sitting down for a meal or asking a question, I
felt like people were happy to help rather than just going through the motions.
That kind of service can make a big difference
at an all-inclusive, where you might interact with dozens of employees during a
single stay. At Secrets St. Lucia, that friendliness added to the resort's
welcoming atmosphere. The staff was one of the things I'll remember most about
my stay.

It's a Great Base for Exploring
St. Lucia
As much as I enjoyed hanging out at Secrets
St. Lucia, you don't have to spend your entire vacation at the resort. I took a
sunset cruise during my stay, and watching the sun go down from a catamaran was
one of those experiences that made me glad I left the property for a few hours.
The resort also puts you within reach of some
of St. Lucia's biggest attractions, including the Pitons, Pigeon Island and
Rodney Bay. Excursion options range from snorkeling and hiking to natural mud
baths and other ways to experience the island's scenery and volcanic landscape.
For me, that's part of the appeal of staying
at an all-inclusive in St. Lucia. You can spend a day doing absolutely nothing
but swimming and relaxing, then head out the next day for an adventure. Secrets
St. Lucia makes it easy to have a little bit of both.
My Take on Secrets St. Lucia
After several days at Secrets St. Lucia, I can
see why this newer resort has made an impression in its first year. The rooms
aren't as sleek or luxurious as some other Secrets properties I've visited, but
they are spacious, clean and comfortable. And between the beautiful beach,
genuinely good food, huge variety of dining options and incredibly friendly
staff, there was a lot to love.
For me, the beach was the biggest standout. I
could spend hours swimming and floating in that crystal-clear, calm water, then
head back to the resort for a great meal or a drink by the pool. I also liked
having the option to venture out and experience more of St. Lucia, including my
sunset cruise.
Secrets St. Lucia isn't trying to be the
flashiest resort in the Caribbean, and it doesn't need to be. It offers a
relaxed, comfortable home base with excellent hospitality, delicious dining and
plenty of ways to enjoy both the resort and the island. For a Caribbean getaway
where you can truly unwind but still have plenty to explore, that's a pretty
appealing combination.
