The Baha Mar resort complex, part of the premier Bahamian destination known as Nassau Paradise Island, will once again be hosting The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival this autumn, from October 27-29, 2023, after the incredible success of last year’s inaugural celebration.
The event showcases the cream of the crop in terms of culinary and artistic expression, with a celebration headlined by world-renowned chef talent, including Marcus Samuelsson of Marcus at Baha Mar Fish + Chop House, Katsuya Uechi of Katsuya, and Dario Cecchini of Carna. Baha Mar's resident chefs will also be joined by Bahamian celebrity chef, Chef Simeon Hall Jr.; Food Network stars Amanda Freitag, Carla Hall, Geoffrey Zakarian, Scott Conant, and Michelle Bernstein; as well as social media star and chef Eitan Bernath.
Leaders in the libations sphere will also be in attendance, including the country's foremost spirits expert and author Noah Rothbaum; wine experts Ted Diamantis, Fernando Beteta and Ken Fredrickson; the team behind the award-winning Broken Shaker bar; and sponsors from Antinori Wines.
This year’s multi-day event kicks off on Friday, October 27 with a Welcome Beach Party, powered by the SLS Baha Mar resort—a gastronomic and entertainment bash that takes SLS Baha Mar's best chefs and puts them alongside Marcus Samuelsson to create an authentically Bahamian epicurean experience. The food and beverage offerings will draw upon the island nation’s rich history and cultural heritage, the chefs’ own creativity, and fresh, locally sourced, farm- and sea-to-table ingredients.

Throughout the weekend, unique event programming will highlight Baha Mar's resident and guest chefs as they host a schedule of intimate Master Classes, an environment in which festival-goers can choose their own adventures from among a variety of culinary experiences.
From October 28-29, the festival will also reprise its two-day Expo event, where guests can enjoy live entertainment and Bahamian hospitality, and take in onstage chef demos from such top-tier talent as Carla Hall, Geoffrey Zakarian and Scott Conant, among others.
The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival excitedly introduces this year’s art programming partner, FUZE, a firm whose aim it is to decentralize the art market while creating a focus on artists from The Bahamas and surrounding islands. FUZE will curate a collection of pioneering pieces and present a vast collection of artworks by artists from seven different Caribbean countries. This premier showcase for Caribbean-inspired art will also feature multi-disciplinary creative programming, including artist-led panel discussions, guided tours, live printmaking demonstrations and a specially curated film series.
