Dispatches From Hawaii: Business As Usual

Look at that photo and tell me you could sit on this beach and think there were not one but two hurricanes headed your way.

As reported elsewhere on TravelPulse, Hawaii is directly in the path of a rare double-shot: tropical storm Iselle expected to hit Thursday and Tropical Storm Julie expected to hit on Sunday. And it just so happens I was lucky enough to arrive days before they hit.

And as I said in my column, everything here is remarkably calm. Look at these photos, check out the video I took and you'll realize something. It's business as usual here in Hawaii. The visitors are calm, the people behind the scenes are prepared, and the skies, hurricanes or otherwise, are beautiful.
