Wine lovers, get ready to take some time off in one of the world's most prestigious wine-growing regions.
Sonoma County Wine Month is returning for the second year this October. Participating wineries use the month to offer a variety of special tastings and experiences to visitors during peak harvest season.
"The fall season is a beautiful time to visit this wine destination," said Jean Arnold Sessions, executive director of Sonoma County Vintners.
"Once Harvest is at its peak, there's a special feeling of accomplishment in the air, making October a magical time to explore Sonoma County. Through Sonoma County Wine Month, we want to share a fresh awareness of our welcoming wine community and reinvigorate the love our existing fans have for our Vintners and Winegrowers."
Sonoma County's wide variety of wines is one of the attributes so attractive to wine enthusiasts.
Master Sommelier, Keith Goldston noted the region's diversity, saying: "Sonoma County is an incredible spot to make many different styles of wines-it's almost like a whole country in one county."
