Universal Orlando is expanding Epic Universe and has
confirmed plans for a new indoor roller coaster coming to the park’s Dark
Universe.
The theme park company announced on Thursday that the iconic
Universal Monsters franchise will inspire the attraction, adding another
experience to the monster-themed land.
Construction is already underway on the new coaster, which
is being built behind Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment.
Universal has not announced an opening date, saying the
attraction will arrive in the years ahead.
The ride will become the third attraction in Dark Universe,
joining the outdoor spinning coaster Curse of the Werewolf and Monsters
Unchained, an indoor dark ride featuring several classic monsters.
The announcement marks another expansion for Epic Universe,
which opened in May 2025.
The Universal park features five themed worlds, including
Dark Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, and
Super Nintendo World.
