During the often idyllic spring and summer months, potential
guests at Yosemite National Park should book a reservation while they still can.
Reservations are required on certain dates, and available
days are not guaranteed to last for long since May is when wildflower blooms
are visible on the horizon, and the waterfalls reach their peak flow.
Reservations are cheap at about $2 and can be done
conveniently at Recreation.gov.

Currently, the days that require a reservation are:
- April
13 - June 30, Saturdays & Sundays and holidays (May 27 & June 19)
during peak hours (5:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
- July 1
- August 16, seven days a week during peak hours (5:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
- August
17 - October 27, Saturdays & Sundays and holidays (September 2 and
October 14) during peak hours (5:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
On days when reservations are sold out, guests who still
want to visit can take a guided tour or the YARTS public transit system from
any gateway town.
