Disney fans and foodies, you may now rejoice. The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is coming back.

Scheduled for March 2 to April 12, 2018 at the Disneyland Resort, the tempting tastes of the Golden State will once again be showcased along the theme park's parade corridor.

At its core will be over a dozen Festival Marketplaces. The food booths will serve up tapas-sized cuisine and special alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks-ensuring something delicious for all ages. Adults specifically will be able to wash it all down with a wide assortment of fine wines and craft beers.

The six-week festival will also feature presentations and demonstrations showcasing celebrity chefs like Robert Irvine, Alexandra Guarnaschelli and Shaun O'Neale. Food and beverage tastings, winemaker dinners as well as beer, wine and spirit seminars will round out the events while live music and entertainment continue to jazz things up with a California vibe.

Guests can enjoy signature happenings like the new Disney Family of Wines Dinner and past favorites of Sweet Sundays, the Winemaker or Brewmaster Dinners and free Junior Chef program. The latter interactive experience is hosted by Chef Goofy for kids aged 3 to 11.

While many of the festival events are included with admission to the park, signature events and seminars will cost extra. Naturally, so will the food and drink offerings themselves.

A pro tip is to buy a Sip and Savor Pass, which provides eight vouchers redeemable for food items for a flat fee. This is only available to annual passholders but, if used strategically, can help save some money on a la carte prices that otherwise add up quickly.

From past experience, I would also advise pacing oneself. It's very easy to have eyes bigger than one's stomach, and you may be full well before trying everything on your list. The best thing to do is to plot out everything you want to sample across at least two visits. Closer to the 2018 opening, Disney will release more details to help in those endeavors.

A paper passport to all the food, that is handed out on site, will additionally assist with keeping track of everything you have already tried and still wish to.

Until then, don't forget that a wonderful Christmas version is currently going on. Festival of Holidays is a slightly smaller version but a food-filled fun time nonetheless. I highly recommend the horchata fudge!
