The Disneyland Resort announced a new Disney Junior-inspired
three-day event coming in August.
Theme park officials revealed the Disney Junior &
Friends Playdate will celebrate the channel’s most popular shows through magical,
entertaining and music-filled stories at Disney California Adventure Park on August
18 and Downtown Disney District on August 19 and August 20.
The Disney Junior celebration will kick off in California on
August 18 with a Playdate Party Parade featuring beloved Disney Junior
characters, a special “Disney Junior Live! Playdate” stage show and the debut
of the new Disney Junior short-form series “Playdate with Winnie the Pooh.”
In addition, the party will also boast the seasonal Alice’s
Wonderland Bakery Unbirthday Party, the Spidey and his Amazing Friends photo
wall and the regular Disney Junior programming typically found at Disney
California Adventure.
When the Disney Junior & Friends Playdate fun moves to the
Downtown Disney District on August 19 and August 20, visitors will experience themed
treats at Marceline’s Confectionary and a Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures
photo wall.
Throughout the weekend, guests can participate in a
find-and-search experience featuring clues around Disney California Adventure
Park on Friday and Downtown Disney on Saturday and Sunday.

of San
Fransokyo—the setting of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Oscar-winning film
‘Big Hero 6’—is well underway.
