Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is coming to Universal Studios Florida next year. (Photo Credit: Universal Orlando Resort)
Universal Orlando Resort has unveiled plans for an all-new outdoor roller coaster inspired by the Fast & Furious film franchise.
Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift is scheduled to open at Universal Studios Florida in 2027, replacing the former Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster.
"Riders will experience the exhilarating sensation of 360-degree drifting as they speed through jaw-dropping maneuvers—including a 170-foot vertical 'spike' that will send riders nearly 17 stories in the air over the outskirts of Universal CityWalk," the theme park said.
The new thrill ride's arrival will coincide with the permanent closure of Fast & Furious – Supercharged next year.
Meanwhile, across the country, Universal Studios Hollywood will debut its own Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift outdoor roller coaster later this year.
