Bellevue, Nebraska will be the site of Mattel, Inc.’s first Mattel Wonder Indoor Waterpark, slated to open at the end of 2027. The waterpark, expected to be nearly 100,000 square feet in size, will function as a year-round attraction and incorporate multiple brands in the location.
Through a combination of the attractions, food served onsite, and play, guests will experience brands such as Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, UNO, Rock ’Em Sock ’Em Robots, and Magic 8 Ball. American Resort Management, which also handles Epic Waters and Wild Rivers, will oversee the waterpark’s day-to-day performance and guest-flow optimization.

“Mattel Wonder Indoor Waterparks are about bringing great experiences to where our fans actually live. We see a real opportunity to take the kind of immersive entertainment traditionally concentrated in major markets and bring it to more communities in a scalable, year-round format. Bellevue becoming our first Waterpark to open is an important step in that strategy and a significant chance to show what happens when you bring so many of our brands together in one place,” said Natalia Premovic, Chief Consumer Products and Experiences Officer, Mattel.
The company said that five indoor waterparks are planned across North America. Other locations that have been announced are Orlando, Florida; Bradley, Illinois; and Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. The waterparks will share a common vision, but each one will have unique experiences, too.

Renderings of the Nebraska location show that some of the featured experiences will include a Barbie activity pool and FlowRider surf simulator; a Hot Wheels multi-slide tower; a lazy river inspired by Mattel Games favorites; and a Fisher-Price water play structure. It will also boast a signature retractable roof. Mattel noted that the climate-controlled venue will offer year-round operation while bringing natural light and fresh air.
