Longwood Gardens is taking visitors on a journey through the
cosmos this holiday season with its 2026 edition of A Longwood Christmas,
transforming the Pennsylvania attraction into a celestial wonderland of lights,
horticulture, and holiday decorations.
Running from November 20 through January 10, 2027, the
display will feature a space-inspired theme, with galaxies, stars, moons, and
other cosmic elements incorporated throughout Longwood’s indoor and outdoor
spaces.
Timed tickets are now available.
Visitors will encounter images from the Hubble and James
Webb space telescopes in the Visitor Center before entering displays featuring
a gilded supernova, a moss-and-poinsettia galaxy, and a 22-foot rotating Fraser
fir surrounded by handmade ornaments.
The Music Room will become an astronomer’s observatory,
complete with an 18-foot Fraser fir, celestial decorations, and a view of the
cosmos. More than 25 varieties of poinsettias, paperwhites, amaryllis, and
other plants will add Longwood’s signature horticultural touch.
Outside, more than half a million lights will illuminate the
Gardens, with more than 100 decorated trees and displays throughout the
property. Highlights include oversized stars at the Small Lake, illuminated
arches in the Meadow Garden, the Meadow Tunnel, and the Italian Water Garden’s
dancing lights.
Holiday entertainment will include strolling carolers,
musicians, and the Open Air Theatre’s 750 dancing water jets. Guests can also
enjoy seasonal food and drinks, including special holiday offerings at The
Fountain Room, 1906, the Café, and Beer Garden.
