This Sunday will see the premiere of the second season of "Ride with Norman Reedus," which follows the "Walking Dead" and "Boondock Saints" star through his life on the open road.

Each episode spotlights a different part of the country and a different riding companion, with season two featuring a jaunt through the South with Dave Chapelle and a trip through Europe with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, among others.

In an interview with South magazine, Reedus shared some of his favorite places to ride as well as the reasons why his trips always seem to take him through somewhere exotic.

"We're done at Thanksgiving on the show (Walking Dead) and I don't shoot Ride until January. That's why we're always picking the warmest locations," he said. "There are so many places around the United States I'd love to go but it's freezing."

So if time and temperature were no factor, where would Norman Reedus go in future seasons of Ride?

"There's no shortage of places I'd like to go," he said. "I'd love to take the show overseas. People say 'Walking Dead' could go on forever-'Ride' could go on forever. You could do 20 years of this show and not hit everywhere."

Japan

"I'd love to go to Tokyo and ride all the way to Osaka or something," Reedus told South Magazine.

Where he should go: Split the difference between Tokyo and Osaka and you'll find the Izu Skyline, a famed motorcycle route running through the Izu peninsula. Eight observation platforms give stellar views of the Pacific as well as Mt. Fuji, and there would be plenty of opportunity along the way for side trips to check out the famed cuisine of the peninsula.

Russia

"I'd totally go through Russia, that would be awesome."

Where he should go: Well if he's going to go through Russia, it'll have to be on the Trans-Siberian Highway, a series of seven roads that stretches from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok. Of course, that's a little more than 6,800 miles, so it may need to be a two-part episode. But along the way, it would pass through Russia's hauntingly beautiful scenery. Reedus could even find the area of the highway in which the road's straight line curves for seemingly no reason-the story goes Stalin was using a ruler to draw the route, and the pen bumped over his finger. The engineers, being engineers, kept the bump.

Season two of "Ride with Norman Reedus" premieres Sunday, Nov. 5.
