Theme Parks Dominate 2025 Global Attraction Rankings

Of all the attractions travelers can visit worldwide, it seems there’s no beating our fondness for theme parks.

Yes, theme parks.

According to a new ranking from Trip.com titled the 2025 Global 100,  theme parks are what travelers love most.

The annual list ranks everything from hotels and restaurants to tourist attractions. To develop its ranking, Trip.com, (which is an online travel agency) poured over such data as verified user ratings, reviews and booking statistics. They also considered critical factors like popularity and a particular destination’s overall reputation.

All of this effort resulted in a ranking of what Trip.com considers to be the 100 "Best Things to Do" worldwide. And the ranking is dominated by theme parks.

For instance, number two out of the top 100 is none other than Florida’s Walt Disney World Resort. It falls right behind France’s Louvre Museum, which scored the top spot as the world’s best attraction.

Scrolling down the list just a tad further, Disneyland Park California lands in the number four spot globally. And coming in at number six worldwide? You guessed it, yet another Disney attraction. This time, Shanghai Disney Resort.

In fact, of the top 10 attractions in the world, six are theme parks. That’s right, theme parks outnumber the heavy-hitting or age-old cultural attractions in the top 10.

The beloved theme park extravaganza continues beyond the top 10 on this Trip.com ranking. For instance, among the top 30, you’ll also find Disneyland Paris, Universal Studios Hollywood and Hong Kong Disneyland.
