Beloved Pixar characters are coming to life with this year's Pixar Fest, held at Disneyland Resort this April 26 through August 4. Curious to see what's coming this year?
Disney California Adventure Park will host a new “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade twice daily, with music, dancing and over two dozen characters from Pixar films, including Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl from “The Incredibles,” Miguel from “Coco,” Mike and Sulley from “Monsters, Inc.” and many more.
At night, a celebration of friendship takes to the skies with the “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular,” featuring scenes from last year's event combined with new characters and stories from Pixar's “Onward,” “Soul,” “Turning Red,” and other new favorites.
The nighttime spectacular will feature projections, lasers and music that can be enjoyed in Rivers of America, Main Street, U.S.A. and other locations around Disneyland. Most evenings, fireworks will also accompany the display.
Guests heading to Disney California Adventure Park will enjoy visiting with Pixar characters and playing games at the Hollywood Backlot, but at night is when the real fun begins. Club Pixar takes over the area for an interactive DJ dance party with live performances, themed food and beverages, games and much more.
Fantasyland Theatre will host a daytime Pixar Pals Playtime Party, complete with a high-energy show, interactive games, photo opportunities and activities inspired by beloved Pixar films. It's also where guests can enjoy watching some of Pixar's most iconic shorts on the big screen.
Lastly, restaurants and eateries throughout the park will offer unique selections just for Pixar Fest. The Pixar Fest cake will return to the Plaza Inn, while Paradise Garden Grill will once again be serving “Coco"-inspired menu items. Troubadour Tavern will offer a selection of Pixar-inspired food and drinks, but it's the marketplaces that you'll really want to discover.
Beginning May 10, six Pixar-themed marketplaces will pop up across Disney California Adventure Park and transport you into the world of a specific Pixar film. These include Gusteau's To-Go, inspired by “Ratatouille,” The Elemental Table, inspired by “Elemental,” Portorosso Pasta, inspired by “Luca,” 4*Town Fav*4*ites, inspired by “Turning Red,” The Spark, inspired by “Soul,” and Hanger Management, inspired by “Inside Out.”
