Where You're Most Likely to See the Stars in Los Angeles
Features & Advice Scott Hartbeck February 27, 2017

With award season in full swing, the stars are shining especially bright in Los Angeles these days. Yes, icons of entertainment from all over the globe are descending on the City of Angels for the festivities, and since nothing makes a trip to LA better than a star-sighting, we’ve put together a list of seven places where you're most likely to see them, at any time of year.
Oh, and if you ask nicely, you may even get yourself a selfie.
LAX
Hey, this is Los Angeles, so you might as well get your search for the stars started as soon as you land. While some may be under the impression that celebrities exclusively fly in private jets, there are plenty of A-listers taking off and landing on commercial airlines every day. They may be hidden away in the first-class section on the flight itself, but if you keep your eyes peeled inside the airport, you’re bound to spot them.
The Ivy
This French restaurant features a rustic brick facade, loads of floral decor touches, and a faded white picket fence strewn in ivy which is world famous for the clientele that populates its patio. A "who’s who" of celebrities can be spotted here, so much so that the paparazzi essentially camp out across the street on a permanent basis. The restaurant has also appeared on-screen in a handful of movies, as itself of course.
Brentwood Country Mart
Built in 1948 and resembling a kitschy roadside red barn, the quirky Brentwood Country Mart is a small shopping center home to unique boutiques, places to grab a bite to eat and celebrities. On the weekends, this place practically crawls with stars, as they peruse the globally-inspired shops and sample the street food delicacies in the courtyard. If the stars aren’t out during your visit, then you could always hop over to Malibu and give the Malibu Country Mart a shot.

Chateau Marmont
With the elegance of a French castle, Chateau Marmont overlooks the Sunset Strip, exuding timeless European charm. Celebrities lap up their luxurious range of suites, bungalows, and penthouses, and you can either join them with a reservation or stop by the smooth Bar Marmont at night for a cocktail.
Arclight Theater
The Sunset Boulevard location of this high-end family of movie theaters is known for being both a Mecca of movie premiers and for seats filled with stars. Yes, movie stars have to go to the movies, too, and when they do, they want to experience the exquisite audio and visuals, premium snacks and private seating that Arclight provides.
Fig & Olive
A trendy Mediterranean restaurant that features generous pours of premium olive oil, the Melrose Place Fig & Olive attracts plenty of celebrity customers looking to eat healthy. If you’re thinking that you’re on vacation and you deserve to splurge, though, just take a seat at the bar and indulge in one of their tasty cocktails.
Runyon Canyon
Any canyon with the word "run" in its name is just begging to be hiked all over, and that’s just what plenty of celebrities do at Runyon Canyon, so why not put on your sweats and join them? If you end up missing out on a star sighting when you’re here, the good news is the consolation prize: a stunning view over Los Angeles.
