Prestige Travel Leaders' co-owner Dave Hershberger will serve as chairman of the board for ASTA.
Hershberger has more than 37 years of experience in the travel industry, serving travelers throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. He will now serve a two-year term in the role on the ASTA board, which he previously served on for the last four years as vice chair.
"I respect ASTA's long-time advocacy work to improve industry conditions and I look forward to working on behalf of travelers from Ohio, as well as all travelers worldwide," said Hershberger, who replaces outgoing chairman Jay Ellenby, president of Safe Harbors Business Travel, a Travel Leaders Network agency in Bel Air, Maryland. The ASTA Board of Directors consists of 15 members representing all segments of the industry. Hershberger will represent travelers and the travel advisor community on Capitol Hill with the media and at global travel industry events.
While he serves on the board, Hershberger will still serve clients. Prestige Travel Leaders has been serving area residents since 1974. The agency is a part of the Travel Leaders Network and was recognized by Travel Leaders as an "Agency of Excellence" in 2018.

Hershberger has been an active member of several travel industry organizations. He served on the Travel Leaders Franchise Advisory Board for seven years and is a past chairman and current board member of Commonwealth Business Travel Group. Hershberger was also a past board member and president of the Cincinnati SKAL Club.
