WHY IT RATES: OutsideAgents has donated to Wolfson Children's Hospital as part of their new charitable initiative, Passport to Giving.
OutsideAgents, America’s premier host travel agency, is proud to announce a donation to Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville as part of the company’s new Passport to Giving philanthropic initiative. OutsideAgents purchased items from the Amazon Wish List supporting Family Support Services at Wolfson Children’s Hospital, helping provide resources used to comfort, engage and support children and their families throughout hospitalization.
Wolfson Children’s Family Support Services include programs such as Child Life, Music Therapy, Social Work and other services designed to support the emotional and developmental needs of children and families during a hospital stay, including Jude, the hospital’s full-time facility dog.
“As a company built around helping people experience the world and creating meaningful memories, giving back to the communities where we live and work is a natural extension of who we are,” said Steve Muraca, President of OutsideAgents. “My parents believed strongly in giving back and made it part of the way they built and led this company. Through Passport to Giving, we’re proud to carry that tradition forward in a more intentional way. Supporting Wolfson Children’s Hospital is a meaningful place to begin because these resources can bring comfort and a sense of normalcy to children and families when they need it most.”
The donation marks one of the first steps in the rollout of the Passport to Giving initiative. The program is designed to create meaningful opportunities for OutsideAgents to give back through charitable contributions, employee involvement and, as the initiative grows, partnerships with travel industry suppliers and members.
