There's no question President-elect Donald Trump angered many Americans on his tumultuous campaign trail and perhaps even more since his November victory. However, it now seems the sight of his name is even enough to bug some travelers.

According to NBC News, several hotel guests have been irked about being booked in rooms with views of Trump's various hotels across the country, which feature his last name stretched across the building.

Portland, Oregon native Chris Skrapits and his partner Adam Clayton were deflated to see Trump's name attached to the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas outside the window of their room at The Venetian Las Vegas last year. Skrapits told NBC it was a "bitter irony" since the couple had traveled to Vegas to elope before Trump takes office Friday.

Instead of requesting a room change, though, they simply refused to pay attention to it.

"We really wanted the weekend to focus on love," said Skrapits. "It just meant we had to move three inches to the left on the couch, just change our perspective."

Seattle-based travel writer Kristen Gill described a similar situation while staying at the LondonHouse in Chicago with her boyfriend back in August.

"It's one of the great historic hotels of the world," Gill told NBC. "We were super excited to stay there. It's this beautiful hotel and then - boom - our view. We were like 'Ewww!' We were literally at eye level with the name Trump, directly across the river."

"The sign is huge. It's ridiculous," said Gill, referring to the Trump International Hotel & Tower located on Chicago's Wabash Ave.

While probably best to simply ignore the sign or close the curtains, some guests have gone so far as to request a room change. A front desk employee at Chicago's Club Quarters Hotel, Wacker at Michigan told NBC his staff receives those requests "frequently."

Many reports that have come out over the course of the past year have suggested that Trump's run for the Oval Office was hurting his brand, including his hotels. Nonetheless, it's shocking to learn that some travelers are allowing the mere presence of Trump's name to impact their hotel stays.
